Surat welcomes rain with cheers..
Amid the fears of a cyclone alert issue Surat people welcome the first
shower with a gusto on Wednesday, The city was experiencing high
humidity level with the mercury hovering at 35 degrees making the
people high and dry. The unexpected showers in the afternoon provided
much relief to the people from the oppressive heat and eventually
brought down the soaring temperature. People were enjoying the first
showers of monsoon in their own way by getting drenched or eating
Bhajias. This dramatic switch from the sweltering heat made the
evening pleasant and this was just the beginning of the monsoon season
in Surat. :-)
