Hello Blog. Hello people-who-are-actually-reading this Blog. You guys are AWESOME!
Thanks for being such a wonderful reader.
I have just awakened. Previous semester really passed by quick. And I could not post anything from long. When finally I am doing it, it’s just to hold our memories and say GOOD BYE. Yes, this is going to be my last contribution to Amity’s Blog.
It's less than 3 months to May 2011, so close to graduating:-).
I really don't know where all the days and weeks went. Mostly work, study, watch movies, hang outs, and a major time in lafdas and velapanti.
I donno why, but this morning, as I was trying to fall asleep, I started thinking of random happenings. [(And I can function on very little sleep!)]
I have no idea what triggered that train of mind and I am writing here again and for the last time. Ah… well I am here now, documenting some random quirky brainwave activity down.
So here are some random idiosyncratic feelings and happenings about the guy whose column you are reading…. Eerrrnnn….Sazzy says n Eerrr it goes…
- I never planned to study Mass Comm.
Accidents are good sometimes. How the wheel drove me topsy-turvy and in no time at all I was thrown several time zones away from a normal scheduled life. Well that’s how I was constrained, constrained by the state of affairs to study Mass Comm.
Now after 3 years of study I have realized that this is really the best of whatever I would have ever done in my existence. I am proud to be a Mass Comm. graduate now.
But I guess life is a roller coaster ride that always throws surprises at you. I am happy now though - now I can't imagine doing anything else, okay maybe I still harbor those rock star fantasies!
P.S – But No… never the above justification ever means that any halat ka mara or vela can opt for Mass Comm. You need to have something different.
- The Hostel Life
One cannot afford to complete his/her graduation without experiencing a hostel life of at least one year, & if any one does that, believe me you lost a pretty important phase of your Graduation and I call you a big time Looooserrr..!
My hostel life was AWESOME. Haunting in every ones room late at the night and asking – “bhai kuch khane ko hai kya?”, loping out of the hostel after the warden has slept, B’day Celebrations, and much much more. Well on a serious note, I will say – hostel teaches you to live and lead.
P.S. - And for me, my hostel’s WashrooM was the finest place ever. I built up all my creativity & even did some graffiti out there. Whenever I was tensed or wanted to think over a project I would silently go there and meditate for some time.
If I scored good marks in practicals, the credit goes to my beautiful washroom.
- The Coolest Hangout ever
– Friends gonna kill me, if I tag their name and am scared.
It was spring I guess, when I along with my 3 friends loped out of hostel. These 3 were my roommate and friends. I never had such a freaking night, actually I was not at all meant to do that, was never so strong to spend ‘a night in an underdeveloped park, totally wet in the rain and without clothes on my body’. Yes that’s what you read, please don’t read it again.
Actually I would like to make a correction; we had a piece of cloth over each one of us. One of our friend’s home was just 200m away & we could not go there. Actually we found it better to expose ourselves in cold (after the rain) rather getting scolded at home.
P.S. - It’s freaking me out or else I would have loved to mention their names.
There are many more such creepy incidents * like I & Rajpal once went to sawai madhopur in auto(130 Km. approx).
I was never made to travel in such horrible but wonderful situation.
We also went on late night drives and much much more. These moments rest in the most precious corner of my heart.
And once I or 'we'(yes, again the same group of friends) got in general compartment of Indian railways, later landed on the bus roof; finally along with my trainers (yes that’s what I prefer to call them) just on a fun trip to Udaipur and Jodhpur. Go on a trip with them and trust me they will make you totally fit and an ideal contestant for ROADIES.
I was never made to travel in such horrible but wonderful situation.
We also went on late night drives and much much more. These moments rest in the most precious corner of my heart.
- Building Relationships
It’s not just a topic in my Communication Skills syllabi; it’s the most important affair in my Graduation.
I made myself pretty flexible, oops don’t mislead me. I made some really good friends or gems I would call them. Some from other streams, some seniors and a few of juniors. And above all I too had an experience of love and that was incredible. Well, one should experience all of these in a life time.
Ultimately, life is all about people and relationships not work.
When am talking about relations how can I forget my Teachers – you all are the best teachers, I owe you a lot. You have brought the real Sukesh out of me. I wish if I could tag a few names to express my gratitude for all the loving people whom I met in past 3 years. And also I want to tag a few REGULAR readers (you guys are very loving >:D<) of our Blog and my Column. :-)
- FAREWELL
- www.amityuniversityrajasthan.blogspot.com
This became my only refuge for some time in past. It’s our creation and my heart beats here. From just two (Me and Aryan) to a well defined group. I have seen it growing. And I love it like anything.
Just wish that it keeps spreading it wings. For my Juniors it’s a request and an order – love it the way we did. Preserve it and make it the better than the best even made...
Cheers :-)
I won’t cry out and say that it’s gonna be the most emotional moment of my Graduation, oh my friends I WILL MISS YOU…. No, am not saying it at all….
Actually MY or to be more appropriate, OUR farewell is still due. I just have an intuition that it’s going to be loving…very loving. I got a load of expectations from my juniors. ;-)
- Future plans – Career
Now jumping on a serious topic, Fun and all loving memories go vague when you don’t end up well. I mean when you don’t establish well.
This is the most crucial moment of my life and I guess it’s the same for my friends. Deciding the best for oneself sometimes becomes very difficult.
Parents, personal interests, friends and a few more factors which affect an individual in a descending order.
I am totally mystified, tensed and quite screwed.
Mystified thinking weather I should go for higher studies now or later, tensed thinking of PLACEMENTS and screwed of the pressure around.
All is well that ends well. And that will happen for sure. :-)
There are many more happenings and a bunch of feelings even & the lines would fall short to express my Randomaties.
Perhaps the idea of graduating for good has grown stronger and deeper as I realized that I have been devoting more time to work.
Well, I am in search of my refuge; wish you also find yours soon.
Stay hungry. Stay foolish.
GOOD BYE :-)
The question kept splashing in my mind very eloquently… And even for a moment I believed ‘yes’ I am. But then something shook my convictions and I was dropped in an endless rambling thoughts!
What have I actually done to be called as a Writer?
Must I actually earn a living by writing to declare myself a writer? If that’s the case, then I am not a writer. Must win a contest? I have not done that also and really nothing that I would say, allows me to call myself a writer. Must I be published? I actually have not been published yet… not even for an extremely small time. Still, nothing to merit the title of “author” or a “write” in any case. Guess that was the reason I went out sight for so long.
Does writing a blog allow me to claim the title of writer? I do write often. But then again, anyone can start a blog and type random letters on it and push publish. Does readership of the blog make me a writer?
I don’t possess any particular skills, just a simplistic yet deep love for the written word. Not just words, but the conveyance of emotion in words. The types of words that make you laugh, cry, or really ponder long after you’ve read them.
I pick my pen or move my fingers on keyboard to express the deepest of me; indeed it unwinds my soul and rejuvenates me each time I write.
See, I’m obviously, not successful as often as I’d like. However, does that make me less of a writer? I think being a writer is what is felt in the heart. Somewhere deep in me there’s a spark which makes me believe so at times. And if indeed, that is the case, then I am a writer.
I sense the answer to my question “Am I a writer?” lies within my heart. And reader you know what, my heart always answers for all my baffling hitches... So, if you’ve pondered that question, I urge not to look any further than inside your heart.
Friends!!! You might have thought that I have forgotten you or I have been fired from the job. Hmmm but that was not the case, actually I was busy in discovering my rather your best friend who will talk to you. He knows me well, I know him well, he is among you rather one of you; he is one and only ‘Mr. Muser’ of ‘Tuesday Musings ’. He will entertain, amuse you and will also discuss your problems. So cheer up friends your muser is here. Mr. Muser, “what a great day to start with. HAPPY RAKHI to one and all”.
Mr. Muser was standing alone waiting for a friend, near the pathway junction rather PMC (Piya Milan Chohraha) as we call it. All of a sudden, a modest cluster passed and wished Mr. Muser “Good Evening sir” and Mr. Muser got little confused rather bewildered but he soon gathered his senses with a calm response.
Well, the new batch has just joined and thus our campus has turned more lush and green. I must say marvellous. Mr. Muser hates nonsense, so now no more bakwas bus sedhi baat. Mr. Muser is a super senior now as such with maturity and experience; advice also comes to action. Let’s see what he has for his super juniors.
“We (seniors) welcome you (Freshers) to our undifferentiated world of Amity Universe. We even advice you that before you indulge yourself in any kind of lafda think twice as such activities are not entertained in the campus. And it’s the time for raksha bandhan so relax and celebrate this “Rakshah bandhan” with all your new batch mates and wonderful seniors. Well, humour aside and coming back to business, there are a few informal set of guidelines especially for you my dearest fresher’s:
i. Divide your brain into 3 parts- a larger part for studies, another part for your extreme field of interest (which include sports and other healthy activities) and the last one for the FUN.
ii. No fooling around!! Never misbehave with anyone around, as it’s definitely going to harm you; especially not with your teachers and seniors because ultimately they are the one who will be besides you come what may in addition with the healthy knowledge and grades.
iii. For any educational or emotional assistance use library, green box and psychology department.
iv. Now, at last but not the least as the saying goes on “No ‘she’ or ‘he’ factor must affect you, whether it is mentally, physically, emotional or still financially”. Have a stone heart if you are student of journalism.
Now finally, this is Mr. Muser signing off with the wish that my sweet n salty fresher’s should have fun around and in the campus, enjoy the weather but not at the cost of academics...
Nos Vemos!!!
Nos Vemos!!!
“Tuesday Musings” what kinda name is it??? Matlab, why Tuesday musings yaar?? asked pappu... Perplexedly I glared him a wired look. C’mon man, isn’t it surreal, somebody asking why did u choose this name! Boy he was questioning on my columns NAME and I felt as if he was poking me why is your name ‘T.Sukesh’. My dear reader, now u understand how intensely a writer is attached to his columns name. I have an innumerable unforgettable moment in my life and as a rule of them crop up on Tuesday, every Tuesday I get up in extremely deep thought, in a contemplative mood; said I. Pappu gave me displeased gaze. I knew it didn’t really quench the thirst of his eagerness. But my answer was the outcome of my attitude and ideology. I adhered to my opine as per my own beliefs.
Reader now let me tell u the deepest secret of my writing. You know, I generally write something after I encounter something, I usually write with my field of experience. “Matlab ye, ki jo meri life me mein hota hai use me likhta hu...” So, the evolutional me thought ki why not begin something with my super most terrific encounter that ensue on TUESDAY. Now am not gonna tell you what exactly happened and why it happened! It’s long and very long; I can even write a book on that. Haha...At the moment am sure you won’t ask me to do that.
Pappu left, but he didn’t take his question away that kept splashing in my mind quite often. Was it the only reason, I myself was not very sure? But the happiest thing I figured out after an intense thought process was that people do read our blog yaar. Pappu was just the first one to ask this, many other put up the same question when I met them. I tried satisfying them with my answer and some of them even liked the reason.
Thanks a bunch. Now it’s my deepest gratitude, to all our readers. Thanks for making our blog so successful and putting up your queries so frequently. Keep reading, and keep mailing and posting your valuable comments. Love you all.
Nos Vemos...
Hey you, yes you, the cherished and frequent reader of our frequent and bubbly blog, now we have something for you, especially for you. I graciously dedicate this to you and want to say heartfelt thanks for your sincere reading and able feedback.
You people have already read “THE BUBBLE” and “THE OTHERSIDE”... Now here is something which is not my writing but your thoughts. I‘ve just tried to recapitulate a few things which we all gonna overlook again, not now but a few years later and then we could not make our thoughts, an action again...
How crazy we are na..? We never realise, we mess up things so easily, we kick and gift bumps to our chum on his b’day @ midnight, we hop out of our hostel and lope to nearby “dhaba” to get foodstuff at midnight just because my friend is hungry , we hurt him/her and even yell on him ‘why are you not talking to me’, we bunk classes and sit in cafeteria just to have a coffee amid a gal or when we have an incomplete assignment sheet, we sit on pavement and watch couples hanging around wish if I would had one and sat with her and not with these morons around me.. we call our friends girlfriend as “your girl” merely for the reason that we won’t cross the line of ownership, we search money in our fati-purani jeans when we have a debit card with 0.000 balance, we keep on wearing the same jeans for a month or even more than that amid a lazy and difficult thought of washing it, we cry loud and make plague promises when our friend is sick or he meets an accident.
We are super brave, nothing can stop us, we will win the world and our convictions touch the sky. Yup, it’s the college life, we never realize how badly we gonna miss it after we finish our degree. The screwing up of things seems so easy na..!, the sitting on pavement with pals and imaging to sit a girl and not with my moron mates around me but for no reason and we find it later that sitting with morons was more fun than to be with a girl..U knows... If not I tell you, reader, I too never felt that am gonna overlook those ages again and my eyes will turn watery. I will think of turning the time back and correct my silly miss happenings...
For me it’s just 6 months left and I will end up my college masti. I wish if I could delude time and run back. But it’s the crude rule, life goes on and on. So, there are moments which you gonna miss from the core, so buddy enjoy it to fullest instead of swatting mosquitos.
Wish you wacky Summers..hheh!!!
Message from the Hon’ble Chancellor
Today, we are celebrating the inaugural function of Sangathan which has animportant place in our annual calendar. Sangathan which is a celebration of Amity students from across all campuses, provides a forum for interaction, caring and sharing and togetherness for all Amitians. It is a time when we all come together year upon year and we can measure the growth of Amity by the size of the event which increases annually. With so many students participating from every corner of the nation and many foreign countries Sangathan is a good example of how Amity represents unity in diversity.
Mr. Aseem Chauhan
Chancellor
