Dr. V Sidhartha delivers lecture on - Science & Technology in India’s Foreign Policy: Harnessing the Triple Collaboration at Amity University

Dr. V Sidhartha, Scientific Consultant (Advanced Technologies) in the office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India delivered lecture on the topic "Science & Technology in India’s Foreign Policy: Harnessing the Triple Collaboration” at Amity University. In his lecture Dr. Sidhartha discussed about Scince & technology in India foreign policy and repositioning of India in regional and World Affairs. He said that this is the new millennium perspective. Such repositioning is possible only if the significatnt part of Indias Science & Technology and Military capabilities are groomed and shaped to be globally deployable. New millennium persepective also includes the capability of launching neo satellites, navigation on moon, nuclear test before actually working. Diplomatic negotiations should also be part of the Government in this regard said Dr. Sidhartha.Scientific size of a country is done by its publications. It is most remarkable that India scientific size is beginning to reach to that of the size of the US. The propensity to collaborate is increasing as more entities are coming forward to collaborate. Due to all these factors, students coming to India from US and other European countries to study in India opined Dr. Sidhartha.Senior Officials of Amity University attended this lecture session.
