A Scottish Delegation in association with British Council visited Amity University Rajasthan on 20th April 2011. The delegation aimed to identify and explore opportunities for joint research and development in disciplines of mutual interest. Delegation included Mr. Paul Holmes, Senior Faculty- Screen Academy Scotland, Dr. Britta Kalkreuter – Programme Director - Heriot Watt University, Jacqueline Farrell- Head of Fashion School- Cardonald College and Christiana - Cultural manager Media- University of Highlands and Islands from Scotland and Ms.Liz Speak , Ms.Judith Elliot and Mr. Amit Chaturvedi from British Council.
Welcoming the delegation the Vice Chancellor, Amity University Rajasthan Dr. Raj Singh highlighted the fact that Rajasthan has great potential for research and studies in art and culture
The delegation was appraised of Amity University, overall students' strength, its cutting edge programmes, teaching pedagogy, breakthrough research carried on by researchers and scientists, and state of the art infrastructure of the University. They were also quite impressed with the Herculean efforts Amity is making to change the education scenario in India
