Ifta’ar Party @ AUR

JAIPUR, SEPTEMBER 6
: Following the tradition, students of Amity University Rajasthan organised an Ifta’ar party for the resident faculty today on Sunday at the lawns of Amity faculty flats. The function was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the university.
In an attempt to promote universal brotherhood among the Amitians and to show their gratitude towards their esteemed teachers, the Muslim students of AUR organised an Ifta’ar party at the lawns of faculty flats. Vice chancellor of the university Prof. R.S. Sirohi was the guest of honour on the occasion. The event started with the recitation of holy verses from the Qura’an, offering of dates and nimaz. Later on dinner was served to the dignitaries and the students present. Speaking on the occasion VC AUR said, “This gives me immense pleasure to be a part of such a sacred function. I am really proud to see the spirit of unity in diversity in all my students. You all are from different parts of the country but when it comes to Amity, you are amitians. I congratulate you all on organising such a wonderful event and following the custom of fasting (roza) in campus also”. He further said, “Such events really promote brotherhood and sets a benchmark for everyone. I wish such get-together functions be organised on regular intervals as these events provide platform for both the students and the faculty to know each other well”. Vote of thanks was delivered by the dy. director BHM Nafees Naqvi. While talking to The Amity times Mr. Nafees said, “This time we organised ifta’ar party along with students of amity. You will be surprised to know that many Non-Muslims also participated in the event actively. I congratulate them all”. Among the other dignitaries Director ASE, Prof Om Vir Singh, Registrar AUR, VK Pandey, Dy. Director ASCo Dr. Manish Verma were also present to grace the occasion.
