Jaipur,2nd Feb: Amity University Rajasthan joined hands with IETE (Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers)to celebrate first IETE’s Students’ day on 2nd February 2011.The event was bestowed with the presence of esteemed delegates from IETE – Dr. Deepak Bhatnagar – chairman - IETE, Mr. M.M. Sharma, Dharam Pal Singh and Avtarsingh. The event started by seeking the blessings from almighty with the lamp lighting ceremony.
Followed by this, Prof. Raj Singh Vice Chancellor - Amity University Rajasthan , welcomed the dignitaries and mentioned that the enthusiasm and the endeavour to expose the students to success fascinates him , he said “It is science and technology that provides solutions to all the problems, but it is important that we realise the positives and guard the negatives”.
IETE is an Electronic and Telecommunication student’s forum and students of AUR are members of the organisation. Dr. Deepak Bhatnagar, chairman - IETE, thanked Amity University Rajasthan for organising this event with IETE and shared a presentation on “Recent Advances in Antenna Technology for Modern Communication System “
Following this, we came to the main highlight of the event, QUIZZIT’11, a quiz competition to impart the best knowledge on IT and communication. The quizmasters, Supriya Bohra and Rishab Singh took over the stage and conducted the quiz. Six teams participated in the quiz namely. After battling till the end and giving a neck to neck competition, Team Beta (Himanshu Jain- and - Hitarth Narwala B.Tech C.S. 6th Sem ) came out victorious, proving its excellence in the field of science and IT.
