VARAD BHATNAGAR
Achrol, 6th September: A team of students from Amity School of Communication went to ‘Vatsalya’- an NGO working as an orphanage. Students went to Vatsalya to interact, educate and spend some memorable time with the children there. The visit aimed at educating children about water conservation and importance of plantation.
’ Vatsalya’ is located in Achrol a town 5 kms away from Amity University Rajasthan. Vatsaliyans were happy and excited to learn the social concept innovatively. Students performed a skit based on water conservation, which was followed by a short interactive session dealt with general awareness about various other social issued related to their daily life. Students promoted the greenery by planting few plants with the help of Vatsaliyans. Students also discussed how to keep the garden green and well maintained.
The visit not only helped the Vatsaliyans as they were educated on several very important aspects but also ASCo students as it was an opportunity for them to understand and analyze the factual situation at Vatsalya.
At the end of the session ASCo students distributed sweets to the children and took a leave from that beautiful place with a promise to come back soon.
